1922

Izhevsk

Russian Dragoon

Jeremy Arndt

A 1922 Dragoon made by Izhevsk still in original configuration. Marked with an OXP, in the same fashion that the Cossack Rifles were marked. There are eight known examples, all from 1922, between the serials 23 to 2381. This one is 1809, i also have a 554 in my possession.

All that is known is that in early 1922, the first 2500 to 3000 dragoons produced were marked with this OXP. I believe it has something to do with the Civil War, as it was still going on during that time.

This is also Finnish marked, with a SA in a box and a 41 capture marking. As far as I know, this is the only OXP in in original configuration, the rest are in 91/30 post war refurbishment configuration.
