Tikka 91/30

February 25, 2023

My first Mosin-Nagant I received in early 2023, received from my late Uncle Eric †. The rifling is in good shape, and this is a great rifle. I've attached a standard Soviet M91/30 bayonet, I assume would be the proper bayonet for this rifle. The receiver is an 1898 AZF receiver, meaning that this is legally not a firearm, and this was used in World War I. My uncle owned plenty of Mosin-Nagant rifles, it had to of been in the 30+ range. I'm attempting to do what he would of did, I cleaned all of them and I started learning about them, looking back at it, he didn't even have WiFi and he probably still would know more than me. I've been told that the M27 sling swivels and plugged sling holes are unique to this rifle.

I've never seen a Finnish 91/30 with an M27 rear sling swivel before - very cool!

Thanks Big Sam! I wish I would’ve known more when my Uncle Eric was still around, he might’ve had some knowledge on that.
