I believe this guy to be a SCW rifle. It doesn't have the typical "made in USSR" import stamp on the reciever, in fact it doesn't have any import markings whatsoever. The reason I believe it to be a SCW rifle is mainly the year 1936, as well as being non refurbished.

Just a fantastic example of a battlefield pick up 91/30.

If anyone has another idea of the origin/story of this beauty, please do let me know!

IIRC, Spanish Mosins that were retained by the Nationalists post civil war are marked as such (a flaming bomb stock cartouche or something similar). Does yours have something like that?

No sir, no markings on the stock or rifles besides the original Russians ones. Any idea what the story is on this guy?
