This historic photograph depicts constitutionalist revolutionary fighters (Mujahideen) during the Persian Constitutional Revolution which took place between 1905 and 1911. These specific volunteer militias and freedom fighters played a decisive military role in resisting the absolutist Qajar monarchy, defending Tabriz, and ultimately capturing Tehran to establish a representative parliament. On the far left you can clearly seen an early Mosin Nagant dragoon without a recoil lug. The flat rear sight is also present
