Description
Hans Gollnick (1892–1970) was a German Luftwaffe general during World War II who commanded major air units, including II. Fliegerkorps, and received the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross for his leadership. After the war he was held as a prisoner of war by the United States and later released, living quietly in West Germany until his death. Photo taken in late 1944
