"Bayerisches Landsturm-Infanterie-Bataillon Bamberg, 2. Kompanie, Unteroffizier Präsenz 3" — A Bavarian Landsturm (third-line militia/reserve infantry battalion) named after or recruited/organized from the Bamberg area in Upper Franconia, Kingdom of Bavaria. Landsturm units consisted mainly of older men (typically ages 35–45, sometimes up to 50+), those previously exempt, or recovered wounded — men not suitable for front-line field army service but mobilized for garrison, occupation, rear-area security, guard, training, or labor duties
