M24 Stepped Barrel
September 3, 2023
Title
M24 Stepped barrel
Description
M24 rifles are Russian M91s that have been re-barrled by the Finnish Civil Guard. Many M24s eventually became Finnish military property. This rifle does not have the SA mark, suggesting it never became a military rifle. Because of this it has a great bore. The numbers on the side of the barrel shank indicate the Civil guard District this rifle was used in. The stock is in extremely rough shape, but I like it. I am VERY curious if anyone knows what the letters on the tang mean. It should be the date of manufacturing, but this one looks to only have the Tula hammer and the letters BN. The lower section of the tang has an SH. I can not find any info on this. It does not have a grease hole. Thank you.
